Serhat TUNAR -TDO- World Health Organization officials issued a statement after the countries most affected by the Coronavirus outbreak recently decided to gradually ease quarantine rules.
World Health Organization officials said there should be no haste in loosening measures taken to combat the Covid-19 outbreak. Officials warned that if it did not, it would result in more cases and casualties.
Dr. Takeshi Kasai, the World Health Organization's Regional Director for the Western Pacific, said governments should continue their vigilance, adding: "We must not neglect measures. We must also be prepared for a new life order in the future. We're going through tough times. Health systems are fighting hard to stop this epidemic."
We need to get used to living with existing measures until there is any definitive treatment or vaccine against coronavirus, Takeshi Kasai said, adding that this new process should be our normal life.
