Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Dr. Hans Kluge stated that the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic will end in early 2022 and the worst-case scenario is behind us.
Kluge told Danish state broadcaster DR that Covid-19 will take effect all over the world in 2021, but will be more cautious and manageable than in 2020.
Kluge said that the worst-case scenario for the world is behind us and that there is more information about Covid-19 than in 2020 when Covid-19 first began to spread.
Kluge said in his statement that no one would have forecasted the developments in the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kluge said, "I think the epidemic will end at the beginning of 2022. There will continue to a virus, but I don't think restrictions will be needed. It's an optimistic message."
