Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- The World Health Organization (WHO) delegation conducted examinations at the seafood market in Wuhan, China, where the outbreak spread to investigate the origins of the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19), which affected the entire world in a short span of time.
On the third day of fieldwork in the city, the WHO delegation continued fieldwork at the Baishazhou food market, a food distribution center.
The delegation was reported to have visited a museum reflecting the early periods when the coronavirus spread.
Team member Peter Daszak said via his social media account that they made an important visit, which was critical and informative to understand the origins of the coronavirus.
In field studies initiated by the delegation to investigate the origin of the coronavirus, conducted examinations at Hubei China and Western Medicine Integrated Regional Hospital and Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital.
A delegation of experts and researchers from the United States (USA), Australia, Germany, Japan, Britain, Russia, the Netherlands, Qatar, and Vietnam arrived in Wuhan, China by private plane on January 14th.
