Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Muslim activist Wai Moe Naing, a leader of a group campaigning against military rule in Myanmar, was hijacked by a vehicle with a fake number plate during an anti-coup protest.
The video, which quickly spread on social media, shows the vehicle that hijacked the activist first hitting a group of motorcycles.
The vehicle is believed to have not carried a sign or logo indicating it belonged to an official agency and was used by security forces.
The vehicle model listed in Myanmar's vehicle database for the vehicle's license plate does not match the license plate of the car seen in the video.
Junta officials have not commented on the matter.
Friends of 25-year-old Muslim activist Wai Moe Naing and supporters of his campaign are concerned for Naing's condition and safety.
