Serhat TUNAR -TDO- An overwhelming majority of members in the House of Representatives, the lower wing of the American Congress, condemned United States President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from Syria.
While tensions are high between the two parties because of the impeachment process initiated about Trump, Democratic and Republican Representatives passed the resolution, which is non-binding and does not directly target Trump, by 60 votes to 354.
According to this resolution, the House of Representatives says it opposes the withdrawal of troops in Syria, while Turkey must end military action in Syria. The resolution also said the White House should present a plan to completely eliminate ISIS.
Many of the members are concerned that ISIS could be revived because of the Turkish military's campaign against the Syrian Kurds, who are holding the radicals.
