Serhat TUNAR -TDO- The United Arab Emirates is taking measures to preserve biodiversity, including laws on animal protection, on the extinction of animals worldwide and the rapid destruction of plants.

According to Euronews, Al Marmoom Animal Conservation Area has been opened in the Dubai desert in addition to animal protection laws in the United Arab Emirates. The conservation area, which accounts for about 20 percent of Dubai's total area, is home to hundreds of different species of birds, mammals and reptiles. Initially, there are more than 50 oasis in the area where only domestic animals are housed. State-built water resources provide ecological balance in the region.

The laws on animal protection issued by the United Arab Emirates administration also apply to rare animal species. These animals are cared for in different conservation areas.

The desert and conservation areas in Dubai, which is highly concerned with animal conservation, also host many remarkable and surprising animal species.
