UK TIGHTENS TRAVEL MEASURES

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Measures are being tightened to prevent the spread in the UK, where the coronavirus mutation was first seen and where there are the most deaths due to coronavirus in Europe. All passengers arriving in the UK will have to undergo coronavirus testing twice during their stay in quarantine, from February 15. Those who fail a mandatory PCR test upon entry into the country will be fined £ 1,000, while those who declare false information on coronavirus form will face up to 10 years in prison.

As part of the measures taken, harsh penalties will be applied to those who do not comply with the rules, which will be implemented from February 15.

Health Minister Matt Hancock said under the new measures, those arriving in the country would be required to undergo coronavirus testing twice during their stay in quarantine.

Those who isolate themselves in hotels or homes after arriving in the country will be tested on the second and eighth days of 10-day quarantine periods.
