Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Two other people have died from the AstraZeneca vaccine against the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) in Norway.
The Norwegian Medicines Agency (NOMA) said two people died after being vaccinated at Oslo University Hospital, bringing the number of people who died from side effects of AstraZeneca to 3.
Five people were treated for thrombosis, bleeding, and low platelet count after being vaccinated, and two of those patients died, the hospital said in a statement.
The NTB news agency did not release the identities of the patients, but the NTB news agency said one of them was a health worker.
NOMA officials said it was possible the deaths were directly linked to the vaccine.
Officials said The Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC) has decided that such cases should now be mentioned in product specifications and packaging summaries.
