Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- In the UK, it was announced that 7 people with the AstraZeneca vaccine developed for the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) died due to problems related to blood clotting.
As of March 24, 18.1 million doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine had been used, according to a report published by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency on 2 April.
A total of 30 cases of blood clotting and low platelets linked to the vaccine, developed in collaboration with oxford university, have been reported, according to the report.
Seven of the reported cases resulted in death.
The Drug Agency urged those in the country to get vaccinated, saying the vaccine's benefits in preventing infection outweigh the risk of complications.
