Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Myanmar Junta government has revoked the licenses of five local media outlets that live-streamed public protests after last February's military coup.
Mizzima, DVB, Khit Thit Media, Myanmar Now, and 7Day News media outlets were "banned from all media platforms and prevented from broadcasting in writing and images," military officials told state broadcaster MRTV.
The five broadcasters were broadcasting the public protests live on the internet and television.
On March 8, the buildings of Myanmar Now and DVB were raided by soldiers.
The two organizations said they were "not surprised" by the ban and would continue their broadcasts online and satellite.
