Görkem ŞEKEROĞLU -TDO- At least 20 people were killed and 30 wounded by a suicide car bomb outside a restaurant near the port in Somalian capital city Mogadishu late on Friday.
Witnesses and the state media reported that following the explosion there was gunfire and plumes of smoke in the sky.
“So far we have carried 20 dead people and 30 injured from the blast scene,” an emergency services representative told news agencies.
The blast occurred when a speeding car exploded at the Luul Yemeni restaurant near the port, witnesses said.
Somalia’s state-controlled Radio Mogadishu reported police had cordoned off the area.
So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
