Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- The giant container ship, which had been blocked the Suez Canal for about a week, was reportedly fully recovered after being partially re-floated.
The 400-meter vessel "Ever Given" was pulled from its dock at 4 a.m. local time and secured, shipping services company Inchcape said on its social media account.
Egyptian officials announced that the ship was on the move, while the Suez Canal was also opened to ship traffic.
The Suez Canal Administration said the ship's nose was 102 meters from the shore and was 80% headed in the right direction.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said in a statement that they had put an end to the container ship crisis.
"Egypt solved the problem by its own means and the situation has returned to its normal course. The whole world can be sure that their goods and needs are safely transported through this channel," Sisi posted on his social media account.
