Selin ATAY –TDO-Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu interpreted this claim as an “blatant lie” while US President Trump declared that he did not believe Israel was spying on White House.
A news website reported that there have been traces of Israeli agents on intelligence devices detected in near the presidential residence and by other sensitive sites across Washington DC over the past two years. "It was pretty clear that the Israelis were responsible" a former senior intelligence official told reporters.
President Donald Trump, asked by reporters about the claim, "I really would find that hard to believe, my relationship with Israel has been great” he said.
Elad Strohmayer, a spokesman for Israel's Embassy in Washington, called the accusations "utter nonsense," adding, "Israel is not conducting espionage operations in the United States, that's the point."
"There is a longstanding commitment, and a directive from the Israeli government not to engage in any intelligence operations in the US." Mr. Netanyahu’s Office said.
