News Center -TDO- The Asia-Pacific Countries Ambassador's Spouses Group (AAPG) and the Arab Ambassador's Spouses Group (AAW) donated saplings to the General Directorate of Forestry for the re-greening of burned forest areas.
The spouses of the ambassadors of Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Kuwait, Sudan and Djibouti and the Asian and Pacific countries Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Iran, Singapore, Korea, Afghanistan, India, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Brunei and Bangladesh were burned. They donated saplings for forest areas.
"We wanted to make a small contribution to this beautiful country and its people, in which we live, due to the duties of our spouses, in order to compensate as much as we can for the material and moral damages left behind by the forest fires in various regions of Turkey in July."
Bringing together the spouses of the ambassadors of Kuwait, Palestine, Morocco, Sudan, Lebanon, Algeria, Djibouti and Oman to Turkey, the Arab Ambassadors' Spouses group aims to introduce Arab culture to the Turkish community and the diplomatic community in Ankara.
Founded in 2017, the group organizes events to bring together Arab and Turkish cultures and promote the similarities and richness of the two communities.
