Serhat TUNAR -TDO- The first results of the early general elections in Austria was announced. Sebastian Kurz won the most votes, according to the results.
According to unofficial results, Kurz's Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), the winner of the previous election, won 37 per cent of the vote and became the first party.
According to preliminary results, 22.6 percent of the Social Democrats and 16.7 percent of the far-right Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) received votes.
In the elections held in Austria in 2017, the Green Party, which was out of parliament, received 14 percent of the vote and was re-elected to parliament.
The List Jetzt, led by Peter Pilz, who left the Green Party and founded a new party, was unable to enter parliament, falling below the 4 per cent threshold.
