Sports organizations in many countries have been canceled or postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak that has rocked the world. The future of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which will be hosted by Japan later this year, also remains uncertain.
According to the agreement signed with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the games should be held in 2020, Japanese Olympic Minister Hashimoto said, the organization is working hard to be held on the scheduled date, but on the basis of the contract can be held at another date later in the year.
Testing organisations before the Olympics were cancelled on coronavirus grounds, while IOC member Dick Pound announced that a decision on the games would be made by the end of May.
