İlknur Şebnem Öztemel-TDO-Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman went to the United States to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump. Prince Salman, at the second line to the throne, appointed to this dutyas his father, King Salman is currently in Japan, as a part of a month-long Asia tour to build ties with the world's fastest growing importers of Saudi crude and promote investment opportunities, including the sale of a stake in Saudi Aramco. Regardless of economics, Saudi Arabiatends to have more in international politics. In a previous talk with President Trump, they agreed to support safe zones in Syria and Yemen.

Prince Salman visited White House and invited Trump to lead a common effort to defeat terrorism, help to build a new future for residents and support them socially and economically.

Salman not only went to White House but also he visited Silicon Valley to introduce his vision of market-oriented reforms and a transformation of the kingdom's society.

Additionally, he is supposed to meet with Citigroup’s Chief Executive Officer Michael Corbat in order to discuss investment opportunities in the kingdom and globally.

Saudi Arabia tries to enlarge its sphere of influence in Middle East and increase its economic power both via using its oil resources and economic diversification. Saudi Arabia interfered to civil wars in the region especially to Yemen. A fight has been continuing between Iran-allied Houthi groups and a Saudi Arabia led Sunni Arab coalition. Saudi Arabia was entered Yemen's civil war in March 2015 to reinstate President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi after he was forced to resign by Houthis allied with groups loyal to Iran and former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.  It has been indicated that about 10,000 people were killed in long standing violence.
