Mustafa AY – TDO – 21.07.2018 On 6th of April, South Korean former President Park Geun-hye was impeached for corruption by court. For the reason of impeachment for corruption, ex-President Park was condemned to 24-year-long imprisonment by court. On Friday, the court arranged another trial against Park on the grounds that former President was indicted for receiving illegal funds and interfering into presidential elections through Korean Central Intellegence Agency. The court judged her guilty of abovementioned charges and accordingly gave her 6+2 years-long imprisonment, which makes total 32-years-long imprisonment. According to Russian News Agency ‘RT’, prosecutors requested 15 years from the court, but judges concluded lawsuit with decision on 8-years-long imprisonment. Former President Park didn’t show herself up in the trial in order to protest/boycott all the previous and upcoming possible decisions resulted against herself.
