Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov gave an interview to the Egypt-based Al-Ahram newspaper about recent developments in Libya. Bogdanov said in an interview that they would encourage all foreign actors to help achieve a solution in Libya.
“We are working with all influential international actors in Libya, including Turkey, who have special relations with the Tripoli administration, " Bogdanov said. The January initiative by Russian President Putin and Turkish President Erdogan played a positive role in the sense that the sides had declared a ceasefire, which created the positive mood for the Berlin conference to take place. Unfortunately the ceasefire did not last long, active clashes resumed. We will continue to encourage Ankara to have constructive influence over the Serrac government. We also work with Americans, Europeans and the leading countries of the region. You know, on June 8, there was a phone call between the leaders of Russia and Egypt. Much of the conversation was devoted to Libya”.
