Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- The Russian government has declared 2 Lithuanians, 1 Latvian, 1 Estonian, and 3 Slovakian diplomats "undesirables".

Lithuanian Ambassador to Moscow Eitvydas Bayarunas, Latvian Ambassador to Moscow Maris Riekstinş, and Estonian Embassy Undersecretary Piret Reintamm Benno were summoned to the Ministry to protest the "baseless and provocative" deportation of Russian diplomats from those countries, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Vilnius, Riga, and Tallinn continued to pursue a clearly "hostile" path towards Russia, the statement said, underlining that these Baltic States stand in solidarity with Czechia and Russia.

"Based on the principle of reciprocity, 2 employees from the Lithuanian Embassy and 1 each from the Latvian and Estonian Embassies have been asked to leave Russia within 7 days," the statement said.
