Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Russian deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced that the coronavirus vaccine, developed by the N. F. Gamalei Epidemiology and Microbiology Research Center, will be registered next month and production will begin in September.
Another vaccine, developed by Vektor, a Research Institute of Virology and Biotechnology, is scheduled to be registered in September and start production in October, Golikova said.
Russian deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova continued: “There are currently two promising vaccines, one of which is 48 within the Russian Ministry of Defence. The vaccine developed by the Central Scientific Research Institute in partnership with the N.F. Gamalei Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology. It is scheduled to be conditionally registered by the state in August 2020. In other words, industrial production of the vaccine is expected to begin in September 2020 after more clinical tests are carried out on 1600 people.”
