Despite the People’s Party coming in first place in elections held on June 26th, political instability in Spain continues.
At the general elections held in Spain on December 20th 2015, no party had won a majority and coalition talks had failed. After two months of talks with no coalition established, King Felipe had dismissed both houses of parliament and called for renewed elections. At the June 26th general elections, the People’s Party (Partido Popular) once more came out on top but fell short of a majority. The political instability continues.
