Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- In an interview with Russia-1 TV channel, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he experienced minor side effects after getting the first dose of the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine.
"After I got vaccinated, I woke up the next morning and it felt like I felt a slight pain in my muscles. I bought a thermometer... the temperature was normal," he said.
Putin said he also felt uncomfortable at the injection site.
Putin, meanwhile, has not revealed which of the three Russian vaccines developed against Covid-19 he has had.
Putin said only the doctor who vaccinated him knew what vaccine he had.
Putin said in his statement that he envisaged that herd immunity would be gained in Russia by the summer and that the restrictions imposed under the measures taken against the Covid-19 pandemic would be lifted in the summer.
