By Adel Tayari –TDO-TUNUSIA-  Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani said on Friday (July 21st) in his first speech since the start of the Gulf crisis and the decision by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt to impose an unprecedented blockade on his country that Qatar is ready for a solution based on the principles of respect for sovereignty and away from dictates, stressing that the method of siege has harmed all the GCC countries.

"We are open to dialogue to find solutions to all problems," he said. Adding that "any solution must be a common obligation binding on all."  Stressing that dialogue provides futile efforts which are being squandered by countries in Conspiracy on brothers on the international scene.
"We have been touched by the spirit of solidarity that disappointed the hopes of those who bet on ruining the unity of our people because of their ignorance of the nature of our people," he said. The Emir of Qatar said that life in Qatar has been going on normally since the beginning of the siege, and that the people of Qatar had spontaneously stood up in defense of the sovereignty and independence of their homeland. He also expressed his pride in the spirit of solidarity shown by residents in Qatar. He explained that the Qataris "stunned the world by keeping them at the level of superior despite the siege and incited them and incitement against them."

Amir of Qatar said "Some of my brothers thought they were living alone and money could buy everything,". "They found that even poor countries have dignity and will," he said. noting that many countries do not prefer immediate interest on principle and long-term interest.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani said that "Qatar is fighting terrorism with full force and firmness". "We disagree with some countries about the sources of terrorism, but what we believe is religion is moral and not a source of terrorism," he said. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani called to stop loading peoples the price of political differences between governments. "I do not want to underestimate the pain and suffering caused by the blockade," he said.

Stressing that the method of the blockade has hurt all the GCC countries and their image in the world, "you all know that we did not respond in kind, and we let the citizens of other countries stay in Qatar," he said.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani  added "this crisis has helped us to identify shortcomings and pitfalls in identifying our personality and we are called upon to open our economy to initiative and investment, diversify our sources of income, achieve our independence and develop our educational institutions,  Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani said that Qatar had broken the monopoly of information with the media revolution that it had created and that "there is no turning back"  , and he explained that this media revolution has become an achievement for all Arab peoples.  

The Emir expressed his thanks to everyone who has opened his atmosphere and territorial waters to support his country in alleviating the siege imposed on it, and he praised the efforts exerted by the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He also expressed appreciation for the US support for Kuwaiti mediation and the constructive positions of Germany, France, Britain, Europe in general and Russia. He also praised Turkey's role and its speedy adoption of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement.

The Emir of Qatar expressed solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people, especially in Jerusalem, and he condemned the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque, "It is possible that what is being exposed to Jerusalem is an incentive for unity and solidarity instead of division," he said.
