Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Catholics, claimed that his gossip was an epidemic worse than coronavirus, and that those who gossip intended to disperse the church.
The Pope, who said in his earlier sermons that he also saw gossip as a form of terrorism, gave a speech at yesterday's mass about lies swirling within the Catholic community.
In his speech, the pope said that his gossip was worse than coronavirus, and that it should not be gossiped with great effort.
The Vatican recommends that wrongdoing within the Church be handled in secret without being reflected outwardly. But those who have been subjected to sexual assaults by priests argue that this teaching covers up mistakes made and protects those responsible.
