Over the last weeks, millions have taken to the streets to demand the charging and resignation of President Dilma Rousseff and former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, from the same party, for abuse of power. As a result of the “Operation Car Wash” (Operacion Lava Jato) which has been run over the past two years, prosecutors have revealed corruption allegations worth billions of dollars regarding the public company Petrobras.
