Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- The United States Department of Defense (Pentagon) said $150 million in military assistance, including electronic warfare devices, was provided to the Ukrainian military as part of the Ukrainian Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
"Under USAI, the Department of Defense has provided a new $150 million aid package that includes training and equipment support to help Ukrainian forces maintain the territorial integrity of the country, secure its borders, and improve interoperability with NATO," the Pentagon said in a statement.
The statement said the $150 million aid was part of a $250 million aid requirement to Ukraine from the U.S. Congress's defense budget for 2021.
The assistance will contribute to the Ukrainian military's communication, command, control, and defense capabilities.
The aid package included early warning radars against artillery fire, electronic warfare devices against drones, secure communications equipment, sanitary evacuation supplies, and training support for them.
