Ambassador İnan Özyıldız said “On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I would like to congratulate Panama’s 115th year of independence.
“Despite the geographical distance between them, Turkey and Panama enjoy a strong friendship and growing ties. Both countries are strategically important in their regions. Panama draws its strength from its highly strategic position linking two oceans and South America with North America. Both countries lie on important seaways that are as though spines.
“Panama is also significant for us in terms of developing our relations with the Central American Integration System (SICA), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Community of Latin America and Caribbean States (CELAC). We admire the valuable support provided by the government of Panama in this regard.
“Turkish Airlines flights between Istanbul and Panama City contribute to our trade ties and cultural relations.
“I am very happy to find us determined to further improve our already good relations with Panama."
