Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has said that the Donald Trump administration's Middle East plan will not bring peace and stability to the region, and has stated that they will not accept the United States ' offer. Abbas likened the United States ' peace plan to Swiss cheese.
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC), which discussed the Israeli-Palestinian issue and the Middle East plan announced by United States President Donald Trump, convened at its headquarters in New York.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who attended the meeting, gave a speech here. Abbas pointed out that there is no international legitimate side to this plan and that it allows Israel to annex Palestinian territories, and stressed that the plan should not be taken as an international reference for negotiations.
Palestinian President Abbas said in a statement: "this plan will not bring peace and stability to the region, so we do not accept it and will oppose its implementation. The United States should not be the only decider in this process. We still have hope. Please don't take that hope away from us. Palestinians will not host terrorism."
