Selin ATAY-TDO-  Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said there could be “no chance of talks” between India and Pakistan until the curfew in Kashmir was lifted and the status of Jammu Kashmir was restored.

Prime Minister Khan will attend the United Nations (UN) General Assembly to be held in New York City, hosted by the United States, and will address human rights abuses in Jammu Kashmir in his speech to the General Assembly.

Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmoud Qurayshi, said they would not allow Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to use Pakistani airspace for his U.S. trip next week.

By abolishing the special status structure of the region and dividing Jammu Kashmir into two union territories, India revoked Article 370 of the Constitution, which had granted privileges to Jammu Kashmir for more than half a century, on 5 August

India controls about 45 per cent of what was the pre-independence kingdom of Kashmir, with Pakistan controlling about a third, and China the rest. Both India and Pakistan claim sovereignty over the entire region.
