Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Belgium's two largest telecom operators, Orange and Proximus, have decided to gradually replace all Huawei-made infrastructure equipment with Nokia equipment. According to unnamed sources, operators are under political pressure over Huawei.
As is known, the United States claims that Chinese tech giant Huawei can and does espionage through telecom equipment. Although no concrete technical evidence has yet been found at this point, the Trump administration is under intense pressure around the world, especially in Europe.
So far, all parties to this decision have been contacted for evaluation, but there has been no official statement from either the Belgian operators, the Finnish company Nokia or Huawei.
