Serhat TUNAR -TDO- The New Zealand Health Minister, who went to the beach and sunbathed with his family during the quarantine period imposed due to the Coronavirus outbreak, had attracted the reaction of some politicians and the public. David Clark has announced his resignation as a result of increasing pressure.
David Clark, who said he disagreed with the government during the quarantine period, which lasted nearly several months, said it was his decision to step down. Clark continued his remarks: "I have always thought that teams come before individuals. The Department of Health is responsible for the decisions taken during my process. I think stepping aside is the best thing to do right now."
David Clark said he would remain committed to Labour's regulation and would continue to serve as an MP, adding that he would seek support from the public at the next election.
