NEW FOUND SNAKE SPECIES IN INDIA GIVEN A FAMILIAR NAME

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- A green viper, found to be a new species in India, noted for its green and striped patterns, J. Written by K Rowling, it was named after the character Salazar Slytherin in the Harry Potter films, which was later adapted for the white screen and has millions of fans around the world.

The National Center for Biological Sciences announced that they have designated the new name of the snake species in question as Trimeresurus Salazar.

This species of snake with rattles was said to be highly venomous, with orange and reddish streaks on its head and body. There are 48 different rattlesnake species in Southeast Asia, apart from Trimeresurus Salazar.
