Serhat TUNAR -TDO-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said to Russian President Vladimir Putin in a meeting that Iran's threats to Israel in the Syrian territory are unacceptable.
Netanyahu went to Russia on the eve of the general elections in Israel, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the latest situation in Syria and the region. Putin stressed the importance of military and security co-operation between Russia and Israel. On the other hand, the Prime Minister of Israel carried the Iranian threats from the Syrian territory to the front of the agenda.
Netanyahu, at a press conference at the airport in Tel Aviv before his departure for Russia, said he did not doubt that the President of the United States Donald Trump will continue to put pressure on Iran.
Netanyahu, reminding that the Trump administration's claims that the sanctions against Iran could be softened, are in constant communication with Trump about the continuation of the pressure against Iran.
