Serhat TUNAR -TDO- After the number of coronavirus cases in India increased by the day, members of the ruling People's Party of India (BJP) claimed that Muslims were spreading the coronavirus.
The government claims that about 30% of the current number of coronavirus cases is linked to a religious meeting held by the Communique congregation last March.
In India, where anti-Islamism is already rising, there is concern that Muslims are being targeted because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
A large number of Muslims across the country say hostility towards them has increased and they have not been admitted to drugstores and grocery stores. It comes amid growing reports that some hospitals in Telangana state are refusing Muslims entry to a health institution.
