Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Widespread floods and mudslides since June 1, 2020, have affected more than 2.6 million people in China.
This has led to an increasing number of fatalities and damage.
As of June 11, at least 13 people have died and about 230,000 have been displaced.
Guangdong, Guangxi provinces, where 6 people have died and one missing were reported.
Hunan province, where 7 people have died and one missing were reported.
In Yangshuo, a famous tourist spot known for its karst mountains and river sights, streets were inundated after flood.
Due to heavy flooding, 2.190 homes were damaged in Zunyi, where more than 13.000 people were evacuated.
That multiple roads were also damaged and 3 bridges were destroyed, the city government said in a statement.
Heavy rain is forecast to continue in the provinces of Henan, Anhui, Hunan, Chongqing, and Guizhou on Friday, June 12.
