Merkel expressed opposition to the proposal to abolish intellectual property rights over the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccines, which are supported by the United States administration.
"I have made it clear once again that I do not believe that patent removal is the solution to getting the vaccine to more people. I believe we need the creativity and innovative power of companies." she said.
