Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Accusing Belarus of facilitating the passage of migrants into European Union (EU) territory, Lithuania announced it would build a wall on the barrier to prevent illegal immigration.
Ingrida Simonyte, the Prime Minister of Lithuania, said Belarus had given the migrants plane tickets to the capital Minsk, making it easier for them to reach EU territory.
Simonyte said in a statement that evidence gathered from those who reached her country had found that at least one migrant had arrived in Lithuania in this way.
Simonyte said his country will take more measures and build a barrier by increasing patrols at border crossings to stop migrants. This barrier will create a kind of symbol and deterrent for the organizers of the illegal flow of migration," he said.
