Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- The cabinet of Libyan Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dibeybe received a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives during a session in Sirte, Libya.
Dibeybe's cabinet of 26 ministers received 132 passes and 1 abstention from 133 participants.
Speaking after the session, House of Representatives Speaker Akile Salih said parliament's vote of confidence in the government was valid until the elections agreed on the United Nations (UN) roadmap.
During his speech, Prime Minister Dibeybe thanked parliament for "making a historic decision", addressing the representatives as "I wish you to work with me at all stages, to come together in Libya and to forget the hatred that has been emitted."
According to the roadmap of the UN-led Libyan Forum for Political Dialogue, the new administration is scheduled to move the country to elections by December 24th, 2021.
Libyan Government of National Accord Prime Minister Fayez al-Serrac said he was ready to hand over the post to Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dibeybe.
