LEFT PARTY FORMS A GOVERNMENT IN DENMARK

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- After Sweden and Finland, the government of a left-wing party was formed in Denmark. With the establishment of the government, Mette Frederiksen, the leader of the Social Democrats, became the youngest prime minister in Danish history.

Denmark's new government, the country's economic policy is expected to make drastic changes, 41-year-old Frederiksen election campaign, after years of austerity practices promised to increase social benefits.

The center-right leader Lars Lokke Rasmussen resigned as prime minister after the majority of the Social Democratic Party, led by Frederiksen, led the five left-wing opposition groups in the June 5th elections.
