İrem GÖL -TDO- A leaked internal document suggests that the German government warns the EU Member States for no deal Brexit 2.0. The document further indicates that not acceding to British plans for trade and security deal is of great importance. Although, the recent negotiations have been positive, still, there have been important clashes about crucial points of Brexit. In addition, the time is short after Boris Johnson confirmed that there will not be any further extension for the transition period.
Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the UK, has confirmed that the deal would be secured by the summer; the document suggests that the German government foresees September as a soft deadline. The German document points out: “From September, the negotiations enter a hot phase. Britain is already escalating threats in Brussels, wants to settle as much as possible in the shortest possible time and hopes to achieve last-minute success in the negotiations.”
The document identifies the eminence of preserving the unity between 27 Member States of the Union. 31st October is believed to be the deadline for a deal between the UK and the EU. After this date, any deal has to be ratified by the European parliament.
