These articles granted an autonomous status to Kashmir, giving special rights and privileges to Kashmiris, and were irrevocable and permanent provisions of the Indian constitution.

Speaking at the event, Pakistan's Ambassador to Turkey Syrus Sajjad Qazi said, "In Kashmir's torture-filled history since 1947, not a day has passed without a new dishonesty and evil inflicted by the occupying power India against the people of Kashmir. The occupying power India thought that the actions it took on August 5, 2019 will silence the Kashmiris' struggle for freedom and peace, but this has been completely unsuccessful. Kashmir's struggle is stronger and more vibrant than before 5 August 2019, and Kashmiris are determined to get their legal right to self-determination promised to them by the UN, Pakistan and India.” said.
Ambassador Qazi thanked the people and government of Turkey for their principled stance on Kashmir and said that Turkish support and solidarity with Kashmir is a great source of strength for the millions of people oppressed in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and an important contribution to realizing their right to self-determination. . “Pakistan will continue to give its political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris and reaffirms its determination to stand shoulder to shoulder with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their cause of legal freedom,” Ambassador Qazi said.,
Messages from the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read by Abbas Sarwar Qureshi, Under-Secretary of the Embassy. Expressing their feelings of solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris, the leaders stated that India should reverse the illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019 and hold a fair and impartial plebiscite under UN supervision as outlined in the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.
