Serhat TUNAR - TDO- The former Serbian leader Radovan Karadzic, who is known to be responsible for the Srebrenica Genocide, has objected to the 40-year sentence imposed on him and has filed an appeal. Karadzic was sentenced to life imprisonment as a result of his appeal.
The Appeal Council of the International Criminal Courts Mechanism found that former Serbian leader Radovan Karadzic was informed of the murders in Srebrenica in July 1995.
The final sentence of Karadzic was announced, who was sentenced to 40 years in prison by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague in 2016.
The International Criminal Courts Mechanism Appeal Council announced Karadzic's decision on appeal, which has been going on for nearly three years. According to the decision, Radovan Karadzic was sentenced to life imprisonment.
