Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- According to the Royal Belgian Meteorological Institute (RMI), a record for rain was set in the country in July.
In Belgium, July 2021 was the wettest July since the first weather measurements were recorded.
In the capital Brussels alone, 166.5mm of rain fell during a total of 17 rainy days in July.
"This outpaced the last record of 133.8 mm in 2000 by a large margin," RMI said in a statement.
Most of the precipitation was seen between July 11 and 20.
Between July 11 and 20, 83 mm of precipitation was recorded.
