Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the International Court of Justice's decision on Iran was a new legal victory for his country.
The court of Justice met from The Hague, Netherlands, to issue a ruling on sanctions between the United States and Iran. The majority of the 16-judge panel ruled that the International Court of Justice has jurisdiction in the dispute between the two countries. In its ruling, the court said the United States had rejected Iran's appeal of its complaint, saying it found it unfair.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the following statements on his social media account following the court's decision: "The International Court of Justice rejected the appeal of The Washington administration to the complaint filed by the United States due to unilateral sanctions. This is a new legal victory for Iran after 3 October 2018.”
