Serhat TUNAR -TDO- In Italy, members of the anti-system 5 Star Movement (M5S) supported the formation of a coalition government with the center-left Democratic Party (PD) in the in-party vote.

5 Stars Movement leader Luigi Di Maio, party members in the online vote of 79.3 percent of the partnership with the PD approved the partnership, while 20.7 percent said they did not support this partnership.

The internal vote of the 5 Star movement also means that Giuseppe Conte can continue his government work.

After the general elections held in Italy on March 4, 2018, the government has not been established for nearly three months. The coalition government, led by Giuseppe Conte, came to power on June 1, 2018, with the M5S party and the far-right-populist League Party ranked first in the election.

Conte-led populist government, known as the yellow (M5S) -green (League) coalition because of party colors, completed its 14th month in office, accusing the M5S of the League Party at the beginning of the month, and the coalition was broken.

Conte resigned on August 20, harshly criticizing the leader of the government, Matteo Salvini, who broke the government, and President Mattarella started negotiations with the parties to find a solution to the crisis.

In consultations, the possibility of an agreement with the M5S and the third largest party in terms of the number of seats in parliament, and the fact that the two parties designate Conte for leadership, paved the way for Mattarella to appoint Conte to rebuild the government.

If Conte presents the new cabinet list and program to the President, if Mattarella agrees, the new government will be formed and the political crisis in Italy will end.

The new government, hence the party colors, will be referred to as the yellow (M5S) -red (PD) coalition.
