Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Israel's Interior Ministry says its citizens will be allowed to enter and exit Saudi Arabia for religious and commercial reasons if they obtain Saudi Arabian visas.
A joint effort by Israeli security agencies and other authorized agencies, such as the Foreign Ministry, would be required to obtain permission, which would also require an official invitation from Saudi Arabia.
There has yet to be a comment from Saudi authorities on this statement from Israel. Saudi Arabia had agreed in 2018 that Indian Airlines would use its own airspace on its way to Israel.
The decision came days before the United States announced the initiative, which it touted as a peace plan for the Middle East.
According to the resolution, Muslims with Israeli citizenship will be able to enter the country to perform Hajj worship in Saudi Arabia. As is known, in past practice, special permission had to be obtained from Israel in order to do so.
