Mustafa AY – TDO – 16.09.2018 On Saturday, Israeli Air Force’s aircrafts conducted an airstrike against an international airport in Syria’s Damascus. Syria’s Assad Regime officials specified that their air defence systems managed to successfully intercept the missiles launched from Israeli jets on air. Israel has recently intensified its airstrikes over civil and military airports belonging to Assad Regime. The last of the airstrikes by Israel was executed over Mezzah military airbase in Damascus on 2nd of September. As a result of airstrike over Mezzah military airbase, Israel eliminated an ammunition depot in the base. Tel Aviv administration justifies the airstrikes with the rationale of inhibiting Iran from maintaining its military build-ups in Syria.
