Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- The United Nations Security Council met for the third time to discuss tensions between Israel and Palestine and the airstrike on Gaza.
Palestinian and Israeli officials who spoke at the meeting made accusations against each other.
During his speech, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said Israel had committed "war crimes" in the region and demanded sanctions and an arms embargo against Israel.
"Some people don't want to use these phrases -- war crimes and crimes against humanity -- but they know that's what's happening. Israel continues to be ruthless and ruthless in implementing its colonial policy. How many more Palestinians must die for a decision to be made?" he said.
The Israeli sides claimed Hamas had "premeditated" the attacks.
Israel's ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, cited Hamas as the cause of the clashes.
"Hamas has chosen to increase tensions," Erdan said, adding that Hamas had premeditated the conflict and was trying to gain power in the West Bank. He used that as an excuse to start the war," he said.
