Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Following the normalization agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, military cooperation in the Red Sea has also increased.
According to the Israel-based KAN News Agency, the United Arab Emirates and Israel released a document containing information on possible areas of cooperation. Security is one of the main areas of potential co-operation between the two countries, the document said.
Israel has been known to operate extensively through countries in the Horn of Africa to prevent the Red Sea from becoming an Arab Lake. Israeli arms companies are also aiming to boost arms exports to Gulf states with the normalization agreement.
